Alvie qualified as an archivist in 2017 and has worked in the archive sector since 2012. They have a BA(Hons) in history and MA in early modern religious, social and cultural history from the University of Warwick. They are currently working towards a PhD focusing on antiquarian’s who researched Shakespeare. Their PhD is a collaborative studentship between the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and UCL which is funded by the LAHP. They are a foundation member of the Archives and Records Association and have volunteered on the regional committee since 2018. Their professional interests include digital preservation, enhancing customer access to archives, cataloguing, and palaeography.
