  • 23rd September 2024

Join our archaeologists to see the exciting excavation, which is uncovering 8,000 years of human history, from prehistory to the medieval period in Broadway.

On Saturday 12th October the team will be offering free guided tours from 11am-3pm to allow local residents to see this fascinating site. No booking required, just drop-in to see finds on display or take a site tour. Worcestershire Archaeology are undertaking the excavation on behalf of Wychavon District Council, who have generously funded the open day.

Tours will run at 11am, 11:30 am, 12pm*, 12:30pm, 1pm, 1:30pm, 2pm* and 2:30pm.

*These tours will be reduced walking.

Tours will last for around 45 minutes and the full route around the site is approximately 600m (0.4 of a mile), which will involve walking across a mixture of grass and gravel. The ground may be uneven and muddy in places so suitable footwear will be required. Finds and information boards will be on display throughout the open day.
